The strip down is half way though, all the “upstairs” bits are done, dash out etc. Then we discovered the usual rats nest of poorly installed electrical. 27 years worth of scotch locks, relays and masking tape used for insulation as well as audio “instal” went in the bin where it belongs. Even the aftermarket cruise control was fitted the the electric window wiring, work that out!
Can you tell what it is yet? The starting point of our dolly frame to mount the Syncro on while we remove the suspension and sort it out, without tie -ing the ramp up.
So, that’s what the last tailgate from Volkswagen without a rear window or a rear badge recess looks like then. It survived the journey from Germany pretty well!
