Refurbished rear wheel bearing housing.

Rear wheel bearing carrier, known for wearing so I’ve picked the best I could from the odds and sods I had. It’s been sand blasted to remove the corrosion, zinc plated to try and keep corrosion at bay, then etch primed to get a good “key” for the powder coating that’s going over the top. I’ve masked up the areas I didn’t want powder coating, areas like mounting faces and the area under the heads of the bolts so that I don’t have the carrier coming loose as the coating gets squashed out over time.
Also quite a useful excersize adding a small amount of material to the bearing seating faces in the form of zinc as it helped tighten up the fit of the inner bearing which as noted about are somewhat troublesome.
The carrier has now been fitted with a new FAG wheel bearing kit.
